Know the requirements.
Start with clarity.

The information below records the previous website’s published requirements. It does not announce a new application round or replace an administrator-approved current rule set.

The 2025 record shows different word ranges.

The earlier homepage states 600–700 essay words; its program guide states 500–700. Both historical statements remain here. The separate 2026 rules use 500–700 words.

Previously published program information

AwardA $1,000 educational award; the homepage describes one student per year. The 2026 $1,000 award has separate dates and rules.
EnrollmentUndergraduate or graduate students enrolled at an accredited U.S. college or university, across fields of study.
International studentsThe homepage says international students studying in the USA can apply.
Additional criteriaThe homepage refers to academic excellence and community service; the application asks for cumulative GPA but the inspected program text does not establish a GPA cutoff.
Essay lengthHomepage: 600–700 words. Program guide: 500–700 words. Clarification required.
OriginalityThe program guide requires an original essay and states it must not be AI-written.
File formatPDF, with a published maximum of 5 MB. The form asks applicants to name the PDF with their full name.
Enrollment verificationThe form says an enrollment confirmation letter, class schedule or similar document may be requested if needed.
ReviewThe guide refers to essay quality and commitment to educational and career goals. Detailed weighting, reviewer identities and tie-break rules were not published in the inspected text.

The prompt and the prize are separate.

The essay compares a hypothetical $1 million, a week shadowing five CEOs and a year of travel. These are not the program’s advertised $1,000 award. A resource guide does not introduce an extra eligibility condition, scoring rubric or benefit.

What a confirmed current rule set needs.

A current rule set should identify its operator, application round, actual award, eligibility, exact prompt and word limit, deadline with time zone, submission process, review and notification process, payment conditions and data handling. Those details must agree across the program, status and application pages.
